Vienna Sausage Sandwich Spread

"I really enjoy Vienna sausage, but I just got tired of eating them right out of the can. For all of the canned meat fans, this is for us. Prep time doesn't include cooking of eggs. Chill time is "cook time"."

  1. I was thoroughly SURPRISED!!!! At first, it sounds like something a Drunk, hungry, and Broke College student would concoct. But i decided to give it a try being I’m on a low carb kick. It tastes 1,000’s better than it sounds! It’s got an egg salad flavor and texture, with a amazing, yet subtle twist. My wife doesn’t even like Vianna Sausage, but I tricked her into trying it, and she loved it!..... at least until I told her what was in it. Lol. But this will be a definite repeat in the future. Only thing I did differently was I used Jalapeño Vianna Sausage because I like spicy food. But once again it was surprisingly amazing

  2. Trying to clear out my hurricane Stockpile. I made this recipe. I used Garlic Salt and it came out salty which for me is very salty, as I tend to over salt. I should have read Zookie's comment about boiling the sausages beforehand. I didn't have sweet relish so used a bit of chopped rinsed dill slices and added a touch of sugar, also some Parsley/

  3. Picked up way too many cans of vienna sausages when they went on sale, and was wondering what to do with them other than just eat them out of the can. This was a interesting change. I added a tbsp of ketchup, 1 mild green chilli finely chopped (seeds removed) and a squeeze of lemon for a bit of zing. Thanks for the recipe shapeweaver!

  4. This is very tasty. The only thing I would suggest is to add a small amount of diced onions. I will definitely make this again.

  5. It tastes just like potted meat spread to me. I left out the sugar and egg.
